The Legacy Gazette is intended as:

1. a platform for students to feature their opinion essays, personal stories, journalism, art, fiction—anything besides a formal paper; and
2. an in-house extracurricular activity for students interested in gaining some editorial experience.

We are always looking for future editorial staff to work under our Editor-in-Chief in these positions:

Associate Editor 

• Write one journalistic piece per issue 
• Find someone in your personal or school network to write a journalistic OR academic piece 

Assistant Editor 

• Write one journalistic piece per issue 
• Find one piece to reprint 

Art Director 

• Determine creative direction for each issue’s layout 
• Produce layout for each issue 
• Lead & manage Photo Editor & Junior Designer 

Photo Editor 

• Choose 3-5 Classifieds postings for full page ads 
• Prepare photos and ads for layout 
• Check copyright, edit images and captions as needed for clarity 
• Add photos where appropriate if none are submitted with written pieces 

Junior Designer 

• Assist Art Director 
• Work with Photo Editor to ensure that photos and ads make it to layout 
• Format Classifieds section under guidance of Art Director
